Tahoe in the Spring

Post-FCCM, Post-VITA57, Post-NAB, we make our way up to Tahoe. PlumpJack is nice. The snow quickly gets rather soft.

FCCM 2006

It kind of came and went in a flurry this year. Well it hasn't gone yet: I have one more day with the VITA57 lot.
Heather explained "Girl Effect", but she left too soon for the experiments.

Tony Levin in Lowell

Mary Lou's emails were just enough to overcome the activation energy needed to drive to Mass to see Tony Levin's band in Lowell. Kick ass performances all around. We sat on the floor stage-left where it sounded great.

The last time I saw Jerry Marotta was at Bearsville in 1978 or 1979. Here is Geo in the studio-B control room in the day:

Note in the above photo you can still see the custom MM-1000 controls in the leather. They were later removed (replaced with a horizontal glassy surface) when the MM-1200 remote was dropped into the sub-mix panel slot.

Terriers in Springtime

Linus and Liona love the warm weather. Not that it had been a cold winter or anything. They were eager to get outside this morning and search for something to chase...

From "The Squid and the Whale"
Sophie: Yeah. I mean, it's gross when he turns into the bug, but I love how matter of fact everything is.
Walt Berkman: Yeah, it's very Kafkaesque.
Sophie: [She looks at him oddly. She laughs] Cause it's written by Franz Kafka.
Walt Berkman: Right. I mean, clearly.
