The Christmas Melt

I was up at Waterville Valley for a morning ski a few weeks back. This dude, I forget his name, has been skiing there since `67. We were discussing how the snow was pretty good for Decemeber. But he said, "beware of the Christmas Melt". This is the warm spell, a rainstorm really, that we had a few days ago.
